How to create the custom carpet that suits you.

The choice of a carpet can sometimes be tricky, as the models offered in decoration stores have by definition standardized dimensions and the choice of patterns and colors available is limited. With these standardized products, you run the risk of ending up with a carpet that is unsuited to your room and its atmosphere. However, a carpet, like any other decorative element, must allow to underline the atmosphere of a room and beyond to reveal the personality of its inhabitants.
The custom-made carpet is an alternative to the models offered in large stores. Follow our advice and you will avoid any “fashion faux pas”.
1 – First of all, take the (right) measurements.
So that your carpet takes place harmoniously in the room which is dedicated to it, do not choose it too large, so that it is not too close to the walls of your room. Similarly, if you want to place it under your living room table, take your measurements after moving your chairs back as your guests would do when leaving the table. Of course, also be careful that your future rug doesn’t interfere with door openings.

2 – Determine the shape of your carpet.
The custom-made carpet also allows a large choice of shapes; square, rectangular, but also in the shape of a circle and many other geometric shapes, or not.
- The rectangular shape is generally suitable for all decorations, whether modern, contemporary or rustic.
- A round rug must have space around it, so it is best to install it in a spacious environment.
- A square rug will fit perfectly in the middle of a living room, bedroom or dining room.
- The original shape rugs are suitable for modern decoration, they give a unique character to your interior.

3 – Choose your material and texture
Our suppliers are among the most reputable on the market, they offer a large number of materials and finishes of carpets.
Each material has its own dynamic and comfort qualities: wool resists well to wear and crushing, silk is a soft and shiny material, sisal and coir are very trendy natural materials, synthetic materials are generally resistant and easy to maintain. In short, the choice of material and its appearance (velour, curly or frizzed) depends above all on your personal taste.

4 – Color and patterns
The choice of color is above all a matter of taste, so you can for example:
- Match the color of your carpet with your wallpaper or curtains, this will create a symmetrical look with a dominant color.
- If on the contrary you do not want a color to dominate in your room use a color that is absent, or even a color in contrast with the dominant color.
- You can marry several colors to harmonize with the different shades of the place.
- Your room has a rich decoration, opt for a sober carpet that will enhance it…

5 – Customize your carpet.
It is possible to create carpets with unique patterns. For example, by reproducing a design, or a pattern. This type of carpet being by definition a unique creation, we will submit a model to you so that you can visualize the final result. Once this model is approved, the order is sent to the supplier.
These carpets are only made to order and are generally handmade by Pakistani or Indian professionals. To ensure that these workers have a decent wage and respectful working conditions we only work with suppliers who are members of

6 – The choice of the finish.
The finish is the type of border that will be applied to a carpet. There are several materials (leather, thread or fabric), several dimensions (wide band or invisible finish) and several processes to achieve them.
The main types of finishing are:
The invisible finish: the carpet will be turned over and folded so that no border is visible.
Tape finishing:. This consists of applying a ribbon around the entire perimeter of the carpet. You determine the width, color and material (cotton, leather …).
The overlocked finish also called scalloping. The edge of the carpet is finished with stitched threads (in the color of your choice) that prevent it from fraying.

As an option, you can also have anti-slip undercoats applied to improve comfort.
7– Installation of your custom-made carpet.
Once your order is received in our warehouse, we will contact you to come and install it.
During the installation, our team will move the furniture and, if you wish, take back your old carpet for free, we will of course recover all the packaging.
Your carpet is installed, but before letting you enjoy it we perform a first cleaning by vacuum cleaner and we give you its maintenance booklet.
