The hinged screen is ideal for all doors, whether entrance doors or not.
Thanks to its pivoting frames, it acts as a secondary door, protecting you from insects (flies, wasps, bees, butterflies, mosquitoes…).
These frames open outwards: this allows you to open the door to get out without having to use your hands. What’s more, thanks to an automatic closing mechanism, the door doesn’t stay open behind you!
Finally, do you have a cat or a dog and are worried about your pet breaking through the web? Don’t panic! A cat flap is one of the options available.
Closing noise can be perceived as annoying.
Possible options: Cat flap door and polyester fabric in the lower segment.
The pivoting back-and-forth screen can be easily opened to an angle of up to 120°, in both directions.
A tray in both of your hands? No problem: a light touch is all it takes to open the screen.
Closing is automatic, secure and silent. It is ensured by spring-loaded pivoting bars positioned in opposition to each other, and magnets concealed in the profile.
Possible options: Cat flap door and polyester fabric in the lower segment.
Pleated screens work by sliding sideways. This allows the fabric to fold into a cassette.
The advantage? They’re more compact than slidinginsect screens. They give you a clear view, especially in winter or when your door is closed.
What’s more, thanks to the fabric guide in the top box and a flat profile on the floor, they ensure total accessibility, while minimizing the risk of tripping.
Finally, for even greater comfort, they feature a highly ergonomic handle, for minimal physical effort when handling.
For bay windows and sliding doors, screens with sliding systems are preferable.
Neher sliding insect screens are suitable for large openings, up to 3 x 3.5 meters. Made-to-measure, they are manufactured to the millimetre to guarantee the best possible insect protection.
Optional features include a foot recess for hands-free handling, a cat flap and a child-friendly handle.
Warning: to prevent anyone getting through the screen, put stickers on the sliding doors! The high transparency of insect screens can fool more than one person.
Don’t restrict the freedom of your four-legged friends! Sliding, pivoting and swing doors can be fitted with a cat flap door, ideal for letting your cats and dogs roam freely.
Is your dog too big to fit through the cat flap? Consider a hinged or swinging door: large dogs can learn to open these doors on their own.
Cat flaps are available in two sizes:
Do you know which fabric is installed on the left and right of the cat flap? A polyester screen! (Read more “Custom-made insect screens: how to choose them“) It’s a misconception to think that a stainless steel mesh would be more resistant. In fact, it’s not at all suitable for cats, who can move the mesh against each other with their claws. It is also sensitive to dents and dings, which impair visibility.
Available colors are limited to 6 standard colors. Custom color options are unfortunately not available.
As an option, your screen doors (with the exception of pleated doors) can be fitted with a sturdier polyester fabric, more resistant to scratches from cats and dogs, and to handling by young children.
This fabric will be installed only on the lower section of your door, preserving transparency at eye level.
