Loose Lay is a flooring process that takes the form of tiles or planks that are laid edge to edge, without glue or a click system. An anti-slip rubber is applied to the floor to prevent the tiles from slipping sideways. There are rubber coatings that can be removed with hot water after deinstallation.
This system meets the philosophy of cradle to cradle, the tiles are easily changeable and repositionable. This solution offers many advantages:
The tiles are easily changed and repositioned
Loose Lay is ideal for a reliable and fast renovation of open spaces, commercial premises or hotels, but also for private homes. The preparation of the substrate and the application of the gumming is done in one go. When exchanging the system, making spot repairs, modulating or otherwise, there is no need any more to prepare the substrate.
Loose Lay is particularly suitable for installation on a modular technical floor. Thus, the technical installations (electricity, LAN, etc.) remain easily accessible. The tiles or panels removed during an intervention will then be put back in place once the work is finished.
In the same way, a dirty or damaged element can be changed in a few minutes, without causing heavy work or hindering the circulation in a room.

Our suppliers such as Amtico, Desso, Forbo, Nora, Interface, Anker, Carpet Concept and Tarkett offer a wide range of finishes and colors: imitation wood, imitation concrete, imitation marble or tiles and of course textiles.
While the installation of lose lay floors is often favored in the renovation of professional premises, open spaces or in the hotel industry, the wide variety of materials and colors available also makes this process ideal in the case of furnishing living rooms or bedrooms.
The various loose lay coverings can even be mixed together, for example, it is possible to combine carpet areas with vinyl (LVT), without any profiles or other separation between the types of covering. It is also possible to combine several colors and thus create a unique atmosphere.
As for the tiles of our partner Tarkett – which offers a range labeled cradle-to-cradle, which is part of the vision of the circular economy – they offer the advantage of being manufactured with the least possible input of solvent and are therefore more environmentally friendly and better for your health.
