True to our values, which include respect for the environment and waste reprocessing, de Buedemleër has become the first company in the Grand Duchy to become a partner in the Tarkett Restart® circular economy and Cradle to Cradle program.
The ReStart® collection and recycling program was created by the flooring manufacturer Tarkett. This initiative of the French-Swedish manufacturer sets high standards for the design and recycling of carpets, carpet tiles, vinyl and linoleum at the end of their use.
This program allows the brand’s customers – including de Buedemleër – to offer a complete range of recyclable and environmentally friendly products, designed to create healthier interiors.
Tarkett’s commitment to circular economy implies recycling not only the product scraps that remain after installation, but also the old carpet or vinyl (in loose glay) after their de-installation. Thus, these floor covering wastes will have a second life.
Tarkett has set up a collection and recycling program for its customers, not only for its own products but also for carpets from competing suppliers.
“Cradle to Cradle” is an extension of the circular economy.
With Cradle to Cradle”, it is not only a question of allowing an optimal recycling of materials and waste management, but also of thinking the products from their conception in a logic of economic management of resources and reuse of materials; either by recycling them, or by returning them to the earth as a totally safe and non toxic product. Tarkett has thus created a range of products that do not require glue (loose lay) and whose recycling is greatly facilitated.
