The International Handball Federation imposes 3 new rules from the 2022 season. We will explain why this concerns us.
These new rules are intended to increase the speed of the game and to improve goalie safety (by penalizing players guilty of head shots).
The new rule that mobilized some of our teams this summer is the one that introduces a new engagement zone. This circle in the center of the field, with a diameter of 4 meters, will speed up the kick-offs and thus make the game more fluid.
In order to bring the handball courts into line, it was of course not necessary to redo the entire surface, but only to modify the floor markings, and sometimes, in the case of parquet floors, to re-varnish them.
As you can see in the photo gallery below, we intervened in various sports halls in the country.

The majority of the courts where handball is played are multi-sport halls that host other sports such as basketball and volleyball. Each of these sports has its own color-coded floor markings, often determined by their international federations, so it is essential that the floor markings are clear, precise, and durable so that they do not deteriorate too quickly over time.
Our experience in the installation of sports flooring has enabled us to modify the handball line markings on various floors with different technical characteristics during this summer campaign: rubber, PVC, linoleum, parquet and seamless polyurethane flooring.
Sports floors are technical floors that require a high level of expertise. Indeed, a good floor must both improve the quality of the game and ensure the safety of athletes. To achieve this, many technical rules and constraints must be mastered. This know-how is also applied in private sports halls, fitness or spinning rooms, but also in gyms, physiotherapy practices, squash, table tennis, tennis, badminton, weightlifting, footsall and many other sports.

Jumps, runs, changes of direction: the feet, tendons and joints of athletes are put under great strain in sports, especially in indoor sports. Each discipline has its own specific requirements in terms of the elasticity of the floor (point, surface or mixed), which determine the appropriate flooring.
Our recognized expertise allows us to install a wide variety of sports floors: Rubber, PVC, Linoleum, Parquet (e.g. Arenaflex or Boflex by Boen), or even cast Polyurethane (PU) systems from Pulastic, Taraflex from Gerflor for table tennis, artificial grass for indoor and outdoor use such as Turf from Pavigym, ….
In addition to the installation, we also advise on the maintenance of the surfaces and the lines of marking on the ground.
